My attempt at cake making

This is my (sad) attemp at cake making. I love to cook and to bake, but the decorating has never been my strong area. Kellie L. And Selina do it so well, but I tried. My best friend's little boy is having a space/astronaut themed b-day party tomorrow and I wanted to help her out. It was fun.....maybe I'll take at a class at Michaels to really learn how to do it. This is the cake before we iced it. I thought the cutting part was easy.

Now the frosting is another story. We even froze the cake to make the frosting easier.
