Kelly over at Kelly's Korner blog is having a blog hop/tour today about great children's birthday parties you have had. Well when I was in MOPS we had six kids who had birthdays within 4 weeks of each other. That meant that every weekend for at least a month everyone was going to the same parties. We decided that we should all have a big party together for my twins, another set of twins and two more kids (6 total). We rented a kids waterpark that we all love in southeast GA. We rented the whole facility for around $250 for 2 hours (this included the life guards and staff) We had a friend make two cakes (a boys cake and a girls cake). We split the cost on everything....park rental, food, goody bags, decorations. It was a win/win for everybody....we got to share the cost and all of our friends only had to attend one party!!!! It was a blast and they children all still talk about about it (almost 2 years later). These are the 6 birthday kids.....oh yeah, I didn't mention that three of them were turning 5 and three of them were turning 6. It helped that they were close in age with the same group of friends from church and MOPS.
The birthday six!!!!! This is a group shot at the end of the night.

Love the cakes. That looked like so much fun.
I love the idea of combining birthday parties! What a great way to save money and not get burnt out on party after party!
