Great bridal showers

Today Kelly at Kelly's Korner is doing a "show us your great bridal shower". I am in luck because I had 3 great bridal showers given to me this year.The first one I had was given to me by my church/MOPS friends. It was at Ammie's house.
All the ladies had dinner outside by the pool. It was the perfect evening.
Anything with a chocolate fountain is good to me!
It was nice being outside in this pretty setting for my shower.
Everything was decorated so pretty.

My second bridal shower was a family shower given by my aunt. The theme was bedrooms and bathrooms so we all came dressed in PJs. Everybody was supposed to buy things that went into the bedroom or bathroom. We also played the game where you make a wedding dress. We had a lot of fun with this game. I was on this team where my sis-in-law played the bride (and she is getting married this weekend in Vegas)
Corrie's (my cousin) veil looks like the "flying nun" to me...LOL They did do a great job of trying to recreate my halter wedding dress.
My third bridal shower was at work. I work with the greatest bunch of people ever!!!!

Pet Peeves

I love couponing and saving money, but it is my pet peeve when people really abuse the system and make it harder for all of us to use coupons. Jim and I went to Publix tonight to get a few more things before the sale went off. We went down the health/beauty aisle to get cheap pert plus and sure. We were going to get one of each. We noticed two ladies shopping together with 2 carts loaded down with pert plus, sure , and cover girl. They had at least 30 to 40 of each item. These items are all free or almost free when you combine a publix coupon and a man. coupon. Publix currently leaves their coupon books at the front of their store. I really don't want this to change because a small amount of people really push the limits. OK, I vented so I feel better:)

Wednesday Arby's freebie 8/26

Tomorrow (Wed. 8/26) you can get a free Beef and Cheddar with any drink purchase. No coupon needed and this deal is good all day. Drinks are $1.49, so this would make a cheap lunch.

Free 8x10 photo collage

I knew that Walgreen's was offering a free 8x10 photo collage ($3.99 value) on Wednesday, but Freebies 4 moms is reporting that the code is already working. So I made mine and tried it. Yes, it does work. The code is FUNDAY, just add it to the coupon code box and update the total. It will be $0 (free) if you pick it up in a store. These are cute collages. You can add a title to it too. I think these would make good grandparents gifts. Make yours before Wed. night to get this for free.

Back to school time

It's that time of year again. Everyone is excited to wear new clothes and see their friends. You are all growing so fast.The twins are starting first grade and Avery is in middle school this year :(
