K Mart

So for all of you folks in Jax and in some other areas K Mart is doubling coupons this week. Darling hubby, my sister-in-law and I hit Kmart to take advantage. We did pretty well and mostly bought things like garbage bags, Ziplocs and other items that don't usually go bogo. I must say that the K Mart in Atlantic Beach has their registers set up to take double coupons. No problems, no issues, in and out. The one one Lem Turner however does not have their register set up and when my mom went there had to have each and every item hand entered. She said she was there FOREVER so if you want to double, take a trip to the beach. There is sunny weather, salty air and a K Mart that knows how to program a register.

Trying to get motivated

I haven't been blogging as much as I would like to lately. I guess I have been distracted planning a wedding and making plans to visit J's girls. I'm going to try to get back on track this week. I'm a long way from Florida (in PA today & NY this week), but I did do some bargain shopping. I got some Easter stuff for 90% off at Target today and I bought some Easter candy at CVS for 75% off. I may even make it to Rite-Aid this week (we don't have those in Jax). Matt I'll try not to load up on light bulbs and razors....LOL.

Great movie for couples

I got the movie "Not Easily Broken" at Redbox (for free) yesterday. This is a movie based on the book written by TD Jakes. I highly recommend this movie. It is another great movie promoting marriage. Go here to view the trailer or to find out more about this movie.

I really do love Publix

So as most of you know our little one's birthday was last week and we had her big party on Saturday. We chose Publix for her cake because they do a really nice job. They mailed us a $4 off coupon for the cake and a $1 off coupon for ice cream. We chose Baby Einstein for the theme because our daughter just loves it. Well, we got the cake and it was great. We knew that we were going to get a fee baby cake for her first birthday but what we did not know was that the cake decorator would take the time to make it match perfectly. We were expecting generic roses but this is what we got.



Man, I love Publix.

Look for this great deal at Winn Dixie

I haven't tried this yet, but I found this great deal posted on Thrifty Florida Mama. She says that Taco Bell dinner kits are BOGO free this week at Winn Dixie. That would make them $2.99/2 boxes. She says to buy 4 boxes in one transaction and a $3 Catalina coupon will print for $3 off your next purchase. So you buy 4 boxes at BOGO free=$5.98, then you get a $3 coupon. price per box is only .75 cents per box after coupon. I definitely want to try this deal. let me know if it has worked for you.

Olivia's Birthday

Today or technically now yesterday was our little one's first birthday. It's hard to believe she's already one.

So why the pic on the savings blog?

Because, the cupcakes she's demolishing were free. We joined the baby club at Winn Dixie when she was born and 2 weeks ago they mailed us a coupon for a free dozen cupcakes and a free dozen ice cream cups. That was really unexpected and very sweet of them.
